Which timezone should I use when creating an event?
Choose the timezone where the event schedule is being set. Veda uses that timezone to store the event correctly and can display event times for visitors in their own timezone.
What if the second event category I need is not listed?
Use the Request a Second Category field when creating or editing your event. The request will be reviewed before a new category is added.
What are Event Tags?
Tags let you add more specific topics to your event. Enter tags separated by commas, such as cooking, coding, crafting, networking, or wellness.
What is the difference between the short and full event descriptions?
The short description is a quick summary used where space is limited. The full description gives you room to explain the event in more detail.
How do event hosts work?
You can save host profiles in Event Settings and select the appropriate main host and optional guest host when creating an event. This keeps you from entering the same host information over and over.
Where do I set up my event host profiles?
Go to the Events tab in your dashboard and open Event Settings. Your saved host profiles can then be selected when you create or edit events.
Can visitors report an event?
Yes. Veda includes an event reporting system so visitors can report event listings that may need review.
Will my event automatically be removed if someone reports it?
No. A report is reviewed before action is taken. A report by itself does not automatically remove your event.
Do I need an active Veda membership to create events?
Yes. An active eligible Veda membership is required to create and manage member events.
Can another member edit my events?
No. Members can only manage events they own.
